15. Facebook AI Agent and automated response processing
In Short: We operate an AI-assisted system that helps our team respond to comments and Messenger messages on AgriTec's Facebook Page. This section explains what data is processed, how, and your rights.
The AgriTec Facebook AI Agent (the "Agent") is software we use to help our team respond to customer inquiries on our Facebook Page more quickly. When you comment on an AgriTec Facebook post or send us a Messenger message, the Agent assists in drafting a response. Each response is reviewed by an AgriTec representative before being sent.
What data the Agent processes
- Your Facebook user ID and public name as provided by Meta when you interact with our Page.
- The text of your public comment or Messenger message to us.
- Metadata about the interaction, including timestamp, post ID, comment ID, and conversation thread ID.
We do not collect information from your Facebook profile beyond what you share when interacting with our Page.
How we use this data
- To draft a relevant, on-brand response to your inquiry using AgriTec's published agronomic and product content.
- To route inquiries that require a human soil advisor (pricing questions, custom programs, account-specific questions) to a member of our team.
- To maintain an audit log of customer interactions for quality, training, and compliance purposes.
Third-party AI processing — Anthropic
To draft responses, we transmit the text of your message and relevant AgriTec reference content to Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), which provides the Claude AI service we use. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf to generate a draft reply, which our team reviews before any response is published. Anthropic does not retain this data to train their models when accessed via their API.
Anthropic's privacy policy is available at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
We do not share your Facebook interaction data with any other third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Storage and retention
Comments, messages, and Agent-drafted responses are logged on AgriTec systems for up to 12 months for quality, audit, and training purposes. After 12 months, this data is deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing info@agritecint.com with the subject line "Facebook data deletion request."
Automated processing disclosure
Responses drafted by the Agent are reviewed by an AgriTec representative before being sent. We do not use the Agent to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. You retain the right at any time to request that a human soil advisor handle your inquiry — simply ask for a soil advisor in your message and we will route the conversation accordingly.
Meta Platform Policies and your deletion rights
The AgriTec Facebook AI Agent operates in compliance with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We honor data deletion requests submitted through Meta's standard deletion process. To delete your data, you may:
- Email us at info@agritecint.com with the subject line "Facebook data deletion request"
