Everything you need and nothing you don’t. That’s what you get with AgriTec’s Liquid Calcium Plant Foods. Formulated from the finest quality of raw materials, AgriTec’s Plant Foods are free of the impurities, chlorides, and heavy metals that are common in today’s leading brands. AgriTec gives your plants the ultra-pure nutrients they require without the harmful fillers. AgriTec Foods are environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and are formulated with a neutral pH.
How it Works
AgriTec products Pro-Cal and Advanced-Cal are both Bio-Active Liquid Calcium products, designed to raise soil pH, balance soil base saturation, and build overall soil health. Liquid Calcium as a preplacement to liming is generally a new concept, this article will help to better explain just what liquid calcium is and how it works.
History of Bio-Active Liquid Calcium
Bio-Active Calcium initially is mined from the ground in the same way that limestone is extracted and pulverized. But unlike limestone, the process does not stop there. The crude material then goes through a process of heating, liquifying, and then extracting the pure soluble liquid calcium. Doing away with all the sediment that would normally end up in your soil and chelating the calcium to make it ready for agriculture use. The raw calcium is then mixed with carrying agents, surfactants, and chloride to make the ease of application and delivery simple and very effective. Chloride in this small amount is proven to increase photosynthesis in the plant, creating faster, stronger growth and also increasing drought resistance and disease resistance and suppressant.
It is very important to take note that chloride in this form is not the same as the crude calcium chloride used on roads and in tractor tires. Just like some forms of lime are used for hardening soil before construction, or to be mixed with concrete, there is a distinct difference and importance in understanding ag grade products meant for agriculture purposes and crude material used for construction or tires.
University Backing of Liquid Calcium
AgriTec has research from nine different Ag Land Grant Universities, showing how calcium changes soil pH, and just how crucial and important calcium is to the soil and to the plant. AgriTec continues to conduct studies and build further evidence that calcium is more effective than dry lime and raising soil pH and improving soil conditions.
“Therefore, the issue of Ca deficiency reflects a shortage of the nutrient within the plant rather than a shortage within the soil. Calcium deficiency is most often observed at or very near the button stage of growth following periods of rapid plant growth. During periods of rapid plant growth, Ca uptake through the root system cannot adequately supply the demand in place by the above ground vegetation. Calcium is absorbed from the soil by actively growing root tips, and it is possible that during the rapid growth phase experienced over the past 2-3 weeks, resources within the plant have supplied leaf and bud growth more so than root growth. With a decline in root growth, a decline in Ca uptake would occur as well.”
“Uptake can be enhanced by applying calcium in the soluble form (i.e., calcium nitrate or calcium chloride, either of which is immediately available for uptake). With many rapidly growing crops, insoluble sources will not provide adequate calcium fertility. Many fungi and bacteria invade and infect plant tissue by producing enzymes that dissolve the middle lamella. Enzymes responsible for dissolving the middle lamella include polyglacturonases and pectolyticenzymes such as pectate transeliminase.”

“The effective use of calcium chloride… sprays may be the most cost-effective, quickest cultural practice for reducing low-calcium physiological disorders… We recommend applying 3 to 5 [gallons] of calcium chloride per acre per season in six to eight cover sprays. Calcium in the form of calcium chloride is recommended because of its proven effectiveness and lower cost… it is important to make sure you develop a season-long program for applying sufficient total amounts of elemental calcium. “

“The liquid calcium worked super this last year. We started really late, but we have the best crop we have ever had. It works beyond what we expected.”
David P, 2020
“I didn’t think your liquid calcium would work like it did. I did part of my field in lime and the other in liquid calcium and your product raised my pH in on year where I don’t need anything this year. My county agent wants to know what I used to make that much difference in one year. I told him liquid calcium.” Dwayne W., 2018
“The ag service told me my soil pH was so low at 4.7, that it was a wonder I could grow anything. I used your liquid calcium and now my pH is 6.9. I had the tallest corn I have ever had and averaged 175 bu corn per acre.” Jim B., 2020
“We applied the Advanced-Cal two years ago and I have never seen anything like it. It came up quicker than anything I have seen before. And the hay was so thick it was curled over because it was too heavy to stay up straight. I went over my field with the calcium right after our application of 200 lb to the acre of nitrogen. This year the effects of the calcium started to wear off because I have a more sandy soil and I put the 200 lb to the acre of nitrogen and the difference between when I applied the calcium and now is night and day.” Brett H., 2020
“We used this products Advanced Calcium on one of our fields. It eliminated daises, dandelions, and queen anne’s lace! Easy to apply and only $30 an acre.”
“These two totes of liquid calcium I bought from you did wonders on my pastures. I haven’t ever seen anything like it. My neighbors keep asking me what in the world I do to my pastures and fields. It completely killed all my weeds. This is the best hay I have ever had. My friends and neighbors will be calling you, I’m telling everyone!” Charles S., 2019
“We really like the BioLiquid Calcium and Bio Activator. Our hay fields have had a 15% to 20% increase in hay. And you said the weeds would go away, they did. One field we had was full of milk weed, but this year after applying liquid calcium, no milkweed. I need more product for the second cutting. We love it.” David M., 2017
“We need more liquid calcium, it worked like magic. Three inches of growth in three days on coastal. We also want to get some of the Nitrogen fertilizer as well.” 2019
“My son and I both have sprayed your Advance Cal on our pastures, the results were phenomenal.” Mark P., 2020
“I applied Pro-Cal and Nitro-Maxx about two weeks ago and my place is greener than it has eber been. Even my neighbors keep asking what I used.” Sam B., 2020
“The two pastures I tried it on far outgrew my other two. I am very happy with the Advanced-Cal and would like another 55 gallon drum.” Richard T., 2020
